Oscar Dubon, Jr. is a Professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at U.C. Berkeley and Faculty Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Professor Dubon serves as the Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion in the College of Engineering at U.C. Berkeley. He received a B.S. from UCLA (1989) and M.S. (1992) and Ph.D. (1996) from U.C. Berkeley. After postdoctoral positions at U.C. Berkeley and Harvard University, he joined the U.C. Berkeley faculty in 2000.

He is recipient of the 2000 Robert Lansing Hardy Award from the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society, a 2004 CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation, and the 2004 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE)
